hey there! i’m maria belen, the maker and creative behind it all.

Hello there! I’m Maria Belen, the maker and artist behind the project. Many moons ago, I was just a girl in my room drawing, coloring, beading and designing in Microsoft Paint (90s baby here). 10-year- old Maria was making lanyard keychains and beaded bracelets, designing a greeting card line and attempting to make candles out of crayon shavings.

Fast forward to adulthood, and after decades of unsuccessfully suppressing this very innate compulsion to create, I am finding myself again through the many ways that I love to express myself. Cheers to inner-child work!

I currently live in Key West, Florida and my artwork takes a lot of inspiration from the bold, tropical colors around me.
